Susan (Petersen) Cooley

Remember me? I did not graduate from Neodesha, but I spent 9 years in school with you. I spent the last two years in Wichita and graduated from Campus High School. I have been in touch with a few of you since my parents moved back to Fredonia a few years ago. With that said, I hope it's okay to crash the party!

After high school, I went to Garden City Community College and Pittsburg State, majoring in Psychology and Basketball. Eventually, I got my Master's Degree in Computer Information Management. I work for a company based in Orlando, Florida as an Assistant Project Manager and Instructional Designer. We design web-based training courses and simulations primarily for the Navy.

My husband (Stephen) is an Optometrist in the US Navy, so we relocate every 3 years, whether we need to or not. It has always been coast-to-coast, which requires a stop in Colorado and Kansas along the way.

We have two older daughters (mine by marriage), Kerrie just got married, and Samantha just had her first daughter (Abigail, and yes, that makes me a grandmother), and then we have one daughter together. Caitlin is 13 years old, and as you can see in the pictures a minature replica of me. She is involved in volleyball, tennis, golf, and horses.

We currently live in Oak Harbor (Whidbey Island), Washington where there is little sun and plenty of clouds but very beautiful. We spent the last two years building a house, which was all-consuming of our time and energy. We originally planned to retire here, but it looks like we're heading back to Florida in a few years.

An update: I just ran my first marathon on June 29th. Running has become my new addiction, but at least it's a healthy one!
